Modern dental offices might offer the latest treatments, but it’s innovative dental technologies that contribute to care and comfort.

Your dentist in Bellaire, TX, stays abreast of the latest techniques that dentistry has to offer. And this includes bringing advanced technologies into our dental practice. We are always on the lookout for innovations that contribute to your comfort and understanding. We also pay close attention to advancements that bolster predictable outcomes and superior results and diagnostics.

Below, we’ve compiled a list of just some of the innovative technologies we offer at Schultz Center for Dentistry.

#1 Electric Handpieces

Some dental practices continue to use air-driven tools when working inside the mouth. Our team is thrilled with modern electric handpieces. This technology is quieter and more precise, which is always a plus.

#2 Rotary Endodontics

Some patients fear root canal therapy, but modern rotary endodontics means straightforward treatment. With rotary endodontics, we can work more efficiently and precisely in tooth canals to finish the job faster. This technology also means a more comfortable—even relaxing—root canal treatment.

#3 Intraoral Camera

When you're able to see what your dentist sees, up-close images from inside your mouth, it helps you understand why a particular treatment is recommended. It also helps you make informed choices about your dental care. The intraoral camera is about the size of an ink pen, but it captures crisp images of the oral cavity that your dentist can share with you on a chairside monitor.

#4 Digital Impressions

The last time you had a dental impression taken, it was probably messy and uncomfortable. You had to bite down on a big metal tray filled with gooey impression paste and wait for it to set. If the first impression wasn't usable, you had to repeat the process.

Today at Schultz Center for Dentistry, we offer digital impressions that eliminate the mess and discomfort while providing detailed, accurate results. With digital impressions, Dr. Schultz directs a small intraoral wand over your teeth that digitally capture impressions of your teeth.

Digital impressions improve your comfort and improve our practice's productivity. Since they are digital, we can email them to our custom dental lab instead of shipping stone models in the mail.

#5 Digital X-Ray

We recently added the CS 8100 3-D Digital X-Ray to our growing arsenal of technologies. Our 3-D x-ray - also referred to as a Cone Beam CT scan imaging system - offers 3-D computer-generated scans that provide detailed, advanced views of teeth, nerves, and bone tissues. This provides critical information not found in traditional dental x-rays. Digital x-rays aid in a wide range of diagnosis and treatment planning, including extractions, performing root canals and placing implants.
