Powerprox Six Month Braces in Bellaire, TX
With the latest in orthodontic technology, straightening your teeth does not have to be a long, sometimes multi-year ordeal. At the Schultz Center for Cosmetic Dentistry, Dr. Jeffrey Schultz, our cosmetic dentist, is performing a new orthodontic procedure that can straighten your teeth in as little as six months with clear braces that have less of a visual impact than their metal counterparts.
With the Powerprox Six Month Braces® treatment, you can have your teeth safely and effectively moved into a better position in less than half the time it would take for traditional braces. Please contact Dr. Schultz for more information on Powerprox Six Month Braces® at our Bellaire and Houston, Texas-area practice.
Straightening Your Teeth in Six Months
Powerprox Six Month Braces® utilizes many materials and technologies that have been used for decades in teeth-straightening procedures; however, this innovative orthodontic treatment combines these materials in new ways to reduce the time it takes to achieve successful results. Plus, Powerprox Six Month Braces® utilizes clear braces on your teeth, making them less visible than traditional metal braces.
Using high-tech archwires that have what’s called “shape memory,” Powerprox Six Month Braces® can work to move your teeth into a more desirable position no matter how much the wire is twisted, bent, or deformed by your teeth’s current position. With this technology, “tightening” the braces would actually cause the teeth to straighten more slowly. Powerprox Six Month Braces® focuses on lightening the force used to move the teeth, which can cause them to move more quickly, not to mention more comfortably.
During your initial Powerprox Six Month Braces® consultation with Dr. Schultz, you will be shown before-and-after pictures of patients who have had the procedure, and our dentist will discuss all aspects of the treatment with you. You and Dr. Schultz can then determine if the procedure is best for your needs.
The Powerprox Six Month Braces® Procedure
During the Powerprox Six Month Braces® procedure, Dr. Schultz will place the braces on the teeth and then add the high-tech archwires. The wires should begin moving the teeth immediately. You will then be given instructions on the maintenance of your teeth while wearing the braces and a follow-up appointment will be scheduled about a month later for adjustments. Only a small number of adjustment appointments will be necessary, and larger wires will be placed during these treatments to finalize the new position of your teeth.
Powerprox Six Month Braces® Removal
After your teeth have reached the desired position, they will be taken off gently in a simple, virtually painless procedure that often lasts under five minutes. To maintain your new teeth position, you will need to wear a retainer for a while after the Powerprox Six Month Braces® have been removed. However, your retainer is virtually invisible and custom-molded for your teeth. In other words, others will likely not even notice you are wearing it!
With Powerprox Six Month Braces® in Bellaire, TX, it is possible for you to achieve straighter teeth in about six months, using clear braces designed to improve upon traditional orthodontic techniques.

Highly recommend for a cleaning and exam
Visited Dr Schultz today, had Xrays, check up and a cleaning done. I was in the examining chair by my appointment time and i had a very professional dental hygienist. All my questions were answered and I feel as the exam was thoroughly done. Highly recommend for a cleaning and exam. There is a TV provided for entertainment during your cleaning. I did have to wait a week for an appointment but well worth the wait.
